Like many of Jeff's fellow Meteorologists, he took an interest in weather as a kid. Growing up in Connecticut and Ohio, most kids got excited waiting for cartoons to come on tv, but Jeff got excited hearing those "beep tones" when a severe thunderstorm warning was issued. He often drove his parents crazy around 6 PM each night watching all the tv weathercasts on all the Cleveland stations. Jeff's dad thought his interest in weather was just a hobby, but that hobby eventually turned into a Meteorology degree from the University of Wisconsin-Madison. Jeff has two children, twins Zoe and Henry.
