     ST. LOUIS (AP) - Northern Iowa used a 29-2 run to rally and knock off Drake 55-40 in the quarterfinals of the Missouri Valley Conference tournament yesterday. The top-seeded Panthers face Bradley in the semifinals today. Adam Koch, the MVC Player of the Year, had 10 points and seven rebounds to lead Northern Iowa. Josh Young led eighth-seeded Drake with nine points.
    
     DES MOINES, Iowa (AP) - Ann Walker's layup at the buzzer gave Exira a 57-55 victory over Mount Ayr last night for the girls basketball Class 1A championship. Hallie Christofferson led
second-ranked Exira with 27 points and 17 rebounds. Becca Pennington led Number Eight Mount Ayr with 19 points.
    
     DES MOINES, Iowa (AP) - Unranked Mount Vernon rallied from eight points down late in the third quarter to beat Number Two Manson-Northwest Webster 59-56 last night and win the Class 2A state championship. It's the first girls basketball title for the Mustangs. Taylor Dicus led Mount Vernon with 22 points, 14 rebounds, four assists and two steals.
    
     IOWA CITY, Iowa (AP) - Iowa's all-Big Ten defensive end Adrian Clayborn has pleaded guilty to disorderly conduct for a January 2009 incident in which he allegedly punched a taxi driver for
honking at him. The 21-year-old from St. Louis had faced a charge of assault causing bodily injury.
