An official rainfall total from the latest rain event in the Marshalltown area was 4.04 inches of rain. There was also a peak wind gust Thursday night of 41 miles per hour that blew some things around and caused some tree damage in the area. Late word was received from Colo of five inches of rain there. On Friday Linn Creek that makes its way through Marshalltown was swollen and the current was strong. Good weather is forecast for the weekend which is currently in progress.
