The City of Marshalltown is asking for the input of residents into what the future of the medians along the southern portion of Highway 14/Center Street will look like.  The Iowa Department of Transportation is planning a maintenance project of the roadway for 2018 or 2019, and the City has the option of making improvements at the same time as the DOT project.

The southern portion of Highway 14/Center Street is where the third and fourth wards meet, and third ward Council Member Mike Gowdy and fourth ward Council Member Al Hoop have worked with City staff to put together a survey for residents to participate in.  “There are quite a few different options, and we want to make sure that we hear what people think before making a decision,” stated Gowdy.
