A changing of the guard is ahead for the Marshalltown Times-Republican. The paper reports this morning that long-time Publisher Mike Schlesinger has announced his retirement after 33 years with the daily.
Former TR Managing Editor Abigail Pelzer will succeed Schlesinger as publisher. Pelzer has been the Editor of the Newton Daily News.
Schlesinger’s retirement date is June 30th.
