Five years without any Bobcats in the boys state tennis tourney was enough.

The doubles team of Luke McKibben and Luke Smith finished second in yesterday’s district competition in Des Moines to advance to state.

Marshalltown finished runner-up to Valley in the team standings. The Cats will entertain Ankeny Saturday morning in a preliminary sub-state dual meet.
