If it’s mid-May, then the farmers markets around the area are gearing up. The first mid-week market in Marshalltown will be Wednesday in the parking lot at Marshalltown Mall. Market Manager Doug Whitmore says the location has changed at the mall since last year.

The first downtown Farmers Market at Cartwright Pavilion took place over the weekend. It will continue every Saturday morning through October.
