A 16-over par 87 was good enough for Marshalltwon’s Kassy Vest to qualify for the girl’s state golf tournament.

Cedar Falls took the team title in the Regional TOurney held yesterday at the American Legion course in Marshalltown. Southeast Polk was second followed by Dallas Center-Grimes and Marshalltown.

Ames Taylor Ballsey qualified for state at the regional in Ames yesterday. Ankeny Centennial was he team champ.

The State Tourney is slated for Elmwood Country Club next week.

Gilbert took second in the Class 3A Region 3 meet Monday at Grinnell.

Host Grinnell won the meet with a 327 while Gilbert shot 333.

In 1A, BCLUW took team titles while earning a berth to state yesterday in Nashua. The Comets Lauren Anderson and Grundy Center’s Frannie Brown both qualified for the individual state meet.
