The city of Clemons is among six in the state to receive funding from the U.S. Department of Agriculture to improve its waste water system.
The city of 148 is receiving a $75,000 grant and $176,000 loan to help replace a lift station, and install fencing around the lagoon, and rip rap along the lagoon dike.
Six Iowa projects have been awarded a total of six-point-eight million dollars for projects. Nationwide, the USDA is investing 256 million dollars in 81 locations.
