A few severe thunderstorms rumbled through Central Iowa last night. A wind gust of 63 miles-per-hour was reported in Ames. The storm blew over a power pole on Highway 69 south of Ames, closing the road for a time overnight. It has since be re-opened.
Marshalltown reported 62-hudnredths of an inch of rain, but I don’t thank that much fell on my yard.
