Waukee has the team lead heading into day 2 of the 4A State Girls Golf Tourney at Elmwood country Club. Valley is five shots back. Marshalltown’s Kassy Vest fired 95 and is 20 shots behind individual leader Brooke Boardman of Waukee.

Gilbert is second, Grinnell fifth after the opening day of the 3A State Tourney in Ames. Gilbert trails Washington by 5 shots. Gilbert’s Britta Turner leads individually after an opening round 70

2A golf at Panora, Van Meter leads the team standings. Morgan Weber of  Dike-New Hartford is tied for the top individual lead with Alta-Aurelia’s Annika Patton.

At the 1A State Tourney at the American Legion, BCLUW sits in fourth place after day one, 20 strokes behind team leader New London.
