Just in time for Father’s Day, the Iowa Speedway opens its 2018 season this weekend in Newton. New Speedway president David Hyatt says the venue’s campgrounds will open on Thursday at noon.

Races are scheduled for Saturday and Sunday. A 200-lap NASCAR Camping World Trucks Series race will begin at 6 p.m. Saturday. Coverage will begin Saturday at 5:30 on KIX 101.1.
