One person is dead after an accident in Grundy County over the weekend.

The Grundy County Sheriff’s Department says the  vehicle left the road while westbound on Highway 20 at the 193 mile marker. It went into the ditch and struck a tree.

The name of the victim has yet to be released. The investigation into the accident continues.
