Like many other business and agencies, YSS of Marshall County needed to relocate after the building they were in was damaged by the tornado. The City offered space in the basement of the Police Building. Executive Director David Hicks said that made for quote the moving party, as a bus load of students and staff from BCLUW and others helped move the office in about 90 minutes.

Hicks says they are in the process of finding a new, permanent home for YSS.

Meantime in Ames YSS has temporarily moved into one of the spare Iowa State buildings in Campustown. The move was not the result of a storm, but of a June fire to the residential facility.
