Firefighters had their hands full for a time yesterday morning in Grinnell. The building in the 900 block of Main Street that housed the El Molcajete Restaurant was reported as burning just after six a.m. Fire Chief Dan Sicard says shortly after they arrived, the roof collapsed, which kept crews busy until about 2:00 p.m. .

Two firefighters were treated for minor injuries. Smoke did spread to neighboring buildings. Sicard says the fire does not appear to be suspicious.
