How warm is it on this December 19th?

It is so warm, a ribbon cutting ceremony for a new skating rink in Ames has been postponed due to a lack of ice.

The Iowa Wild hockey team donated an outdoor ice skating rink to the City of Ames. It was supposed to be open this week. Well, highs in the low 50’s certainly is not conducive to making ice.

The ribbon cutting has been postponed until January, date to be announced.
