The 2019 Main street Iowa awards were handed out last night in Des Moines and many of our Central Iowa Main Streets were honored.

In the Competitive Awards, recipients included Ames Main Street and Newton Main Street.

Leadership awards were bestowed upon Ames, Conrad, Colfax, Grundy Center, Iowa Falls, Marshalltown, Newton and State Center.

Marshalltown, Iowa Falls, Conrad, Grundy Center, Colfax, Ames and Newton were all recognized for the communities commitments to historic district revitalization.
