As expected, Iowa, Iowa State and Drake all are competing in the NCAA Women’s Basketball tournament.  What wasn’t expected was that ESPN would screw up the show revealing the brackets.

In a replay of a show going through the men’s brackets, the women’s brackets somehow were put up on the screen. This was around 2:30 yesterday afternoon. By 3:30, the network announced it’s reveal show would begin at four o’clock instead of the original six o’clock. that also screwed up some watch parties as well.

Nonetheless, Iowa received a second seed and will host first round games Friday. The Hawkeyes will battle Mercer at 1:00, followed by Drake, in the same bracket with Iowa battling Missouri.

Iowa State also hosting first round games at Hilton Coliseum. The Cyclones will take on New Mexico State late Saturday afternoon,, after a 2:30 game between DePaul and Missouri State.
