A Marshalltown man is jailed after threatening his family with a gun.

Police were called to the house just after one yesterday morning and were met by Luis Gabriel Guajardo of Marshalltown.   Guajardo initially refused to comply with officers commands,  but was eventually disarmed and taken into custody.

Two family members were still in the house when police arrived, two had escaped and called 911.

Guajardo is charged with multiple offenses, including assault with a deadly weapon, going armed with intent and five counts of child endangerment.
