If you break the parking rules on game day for Iowa State football games in Ames, you will end up paying more for it.

The Ames City Council has approved doubling the fines for illegal parking to $40.00 on game days between 6 a.m. and midnight.

The City says illegal parking on streets around Jack Trice Stadium has increased in recent years.
