A Story County jury on Thursday found a man guilty of firing a gun into a Huxley apartment earlier this year, narrowly missing the people inside.
Montrell McClellan was convicted of first-degree robbery, intimidation with a dangerous weapon and simple assault.
According to authorities, he went to the apartment on National Drive early in the morning on March 6. McClellan, who was armed with a gun, and another man, knocked on the apartment door and asked for a specific person who wasn’t there. A person inside quickly closed the door, and McClellan fired three shots that struck the door frame, a wall and a couch inside the apartment, authorities said.
The verdict followed a seven-day trial in Story County District Court in Nevada.
