You may have seen the news stories about the lack of blackout license plates in the Des Moines and Cedar Rapids areas after they were snapped up by fashion-conscious car owners.

That is not an issue in Marshall County. Treasurer Jarrett Heil says the supply here is “ample” with a second order of the blackout plates already submitted to the state. Over 350 plates have already been purchased in Marshall County.
