There will be no merger between Unity Point Health and Sanford Health.

Discussions on a merger began in JUne, but to hear Sanford’s CEO tell it, Unity Point failed to embrace “the vision”. Unity Point’s statement said it would continue to evaluate any option that “improves the delivery of health care”>

Unity Point runs 32 hospitals in Iowa, Illinois and Wisconsin, including Unity Point Health Marshalltown, Grinnell, and Nevada.
