Iowa Supreme Court Cheif Justice Mark Cady is dead.

The 66-year old Cady was walking his dog last evening when a heart attack took his life.

Cady was appointed to the Supreme Court in 1998 by then-Governor Terry Bradstad and was selected Chief Justice in 2011. His term was to run through 2024.
