That is exactly what Rachel Junck will be doing. The Ames native garnered 54 percent of the vote to defeat incumbent Chris Nelson for the Ames Ward 4 City Council seat in yesterday’s runoff election.

The 20-year old Junck also becomes the youngest woman to be elected to office in the state.
