Issues continue to plague the repair of teh Ames Power Plant.

With new boiler tubes needed to be installed, but the leaking of oil from a turbine bearing and a grate broke away from its mounts earlier this week.

Ames officials say they hope to have the plant running in about two weeks, but in the meantime are asking residents to reduce the amount of garbage they generate, but disposing of glass, food, and metal via other means.
