The Winter Storm Warning for Central Iowa has been canceled for Saturday, so any additional snowfall later on Saturday should be light.

Overall, the area received roughly three to four inches of snow with this initial storm of the season. Snow ordinances remain in effect this Saturday morning for the communities that utilize them, including Ames and Marshalltown.

The Winter Storm Warning does remain in effect for southeast Iowa, so keep that in mind if you were planning to head in that direction this weekend.
