The Laurel City Council’s plan to purchase land near Green Castle for a lagoon is now on hold after last night’s meeting. That’s according to the Times-Republican and KCCI News.

The project would require land from a Century Farm and is adjacent to the Firehouse Aquatics business. A packed house for last night’s meeting convinced the Council to put the lagoon on hold, but it did not mention a timeline for addressing the issue further.
