ballot-box-2

Voters in the South Tama School District turned thumbs down on a bond issue yesterday to build a new middle school for the district. There were three questions on the ballot. One failed, while the other two did not gain the necessary 60 percent voter approval to pass.

The District wanted to spend over 27 million dollars for a new school to replace the existing middle school, which dates back 104 years.
