Spring athletics for Marshalltown and Ellsworth Community Colleges have been canceled, along with all NJCAA competitions nationwide. Spring sport student-athletes will not be charged with a year of participation.
In the wake of the Governor’s recommendation to close schools. the Boys and Girls Athletic Unions, along with the High School Music and Speech Associations have announced all of their activities will be prohibited through April 10th. That includes any in-person contact between coaches/teachers/administrators/coaches/judges and students will be off-limit. Decisions on future activities will be announced as the situation develops.
