Community stakeholders in Marshall County joined together in an online news conference today as The Public Health and Emergency Management announced the creation of a Joint Information Center whereof medical and emergency information will be issued as the need arises.
One resource available that we have not yet touched on is the 211 Hotline, which Public Health Board Chair Dr. Ken Lyon shared is one good option for the public to utilize. The 211 staff can help you determine if you feel you are getting symptoms of Covid-19, but aren’t sure if you should call your doctor or urgent care.
There is a website available at www.211.org. For the latest overall info, Marshall County Emergency Management says either the Iowa Department of Public Health website at www.idph.iowa.gov or the Center for Disease Control at www.cdc.gov are still the best sources.
