In conjunction with the order to close schools for the rest of the year, The Iowa Girls High School Athletic Union and the Iowa High School Athletic Association said both boards approved of the cancellation of all golf, soccer, tennis and track and field activities.

The summer sports of baseball and softball are suspended pending an assessment with state officials by June. Both organizations say they will continue to support the health and safety recommendations from the state and national levels.
