The Story County Sheriff’s Office has released the names of the three people who died of carbon monoxide one week ago in Collins.
62-year-old Connie Dilliner, 41-year-old Elizabeth Ennenga, and 20-year-old Trevor Brommel were all residents of this address. There have been no signs of foul play and no threat to the public exist.
Carbon monoxide is an odorless and colorless gas caused by burning fuel. The most common symptoms of CO poisoning are headache, dizziness, weakness, upset stomach, vomiting, chest pain and confusion. If you notice any of these symptoms and suspect CO gas you should immediately retreat to a well-ventilated area outside of the structure. The Sheriff’s Office encourages the public to install a CO detector in their residence.
