As of Friday, some restrictions on businesses and activities will be eased on roughly 2/3 of the state. For the rest of us, we are still under the existing social distancing and closures.

Marshall, Tama, Poweshiek, and Jasper Counties will see no change in closures and restrictions. Story and  Hardin and Grundy Counties will see the lifting of the restrictions. Governor Kim Reynolds ordered to close last month may reopen Friday,  but at 50 percent of normal operating capacity.

The governor says business closures in the remaining 22 counties will be lifted if there are downward trends in Covid-19 cases in those areas of the state.  Legislative leaders have also announced that the 2020 Iowa Legislative session will remain suspended through May 15th.
