Governor Kim Reynolds is flying to D.C. today (Wednesday) for a meeting with President Trump, Pence and others at the White House.
Reynolds says she not only wants to update the President on how Iowa is faring, she also wants to thank him for all he has done for the state.
The Vice President told reporters yesterday there are concerns about virus hot spots in Chicago and Des Moines. And a top doctor on the White House coronavirus task force says the new cases identified in the Des Moines area are a concern.
On Friday, Mr.Pence will visit Hy-Vee headquarters in West Des Moines for a discussion with farm and food supply company leaders about the security of the nation’s food supply. Pence will also meet with faith leaders to discuss the guidelines for how houses of worship may responsibly reopen in the midst of the pandemic.
