The high school softball and baseball season begins this evening as the abbreviated for COVID-19 slate begins with doubleheaders galore.

At Marshalltown, both of the Bobcat teams will host Ankeny, with both sides of the boys twin bill to be heard on 1230 KFJB beginning at five this afternoon.

Ames opens on the road at Dowling catholic;

East Marshall hosts Gladbrook-Reinbeck;

West Marshall entertains BCLUW;

South Tama at Center Point-Urbana;

GMG is at Colo-Nesco;

BGM is at Belle Plaine;

Grinnell visits Pella;

Newton is at Indianola.
