No Iowa versus Iowa State…as a matter of fact, no non-conference game period for the Iowa Hawkeyes after the Big ten’s decision to limit fall sports to a conference only schedule.

The Big ten says the decision will help it be more flexible to adjust throughout the season. Looking at the schedule, the first Hawkeye football game would not be until October.

Sen. Chuck Grassley expressed his displeasure on Twitter saying, “Very disappointed by the Big Ten making a decision that non conference games can’t be played Don’t they realize the Cy-Hawk game is a lot more interesting than many big ten games?? Especially disappointed Iowa can’t play MY UNIVERSITY uni BIG DISAPPOINTMENT.”
