As anticipated, the trail for Christian Bahena Rivera, accused of murdering Brooklyn’s Mollie Tibbets two years ago, has been postponed. But the location of the trial has also been changed.
Both sides had filed a joint motion to delay the start of the trail from September 29th, mainly due to COVID-19 related issues. The judge agreed to a new date of January 25th, but the trial will be moved from Woodbury County to Scott County. Among reasons for the move was an anticipated glut of cases in Woodbury County, once court proceedings resume.
