The state’s COVID-19 case total hit the 40,000 mark late yesterday afternoon. This morning, there are 417 new cases since midday yesterday for a state total of 40,210. Ten new cases each in Marshall and Story County.

Six additional deaths, one in Jasper County for a state total of 814. There were 9 more people hospitalized with the virus, adding up to 232 in the state, with two cases added to the ICU county, which finds 73 people in those units around the state.
