Eleven more deaths and 441 confirmed COVID cases statewide since midday yesterday, according to the state’s coronavirus website.

The state death toll now at 865, no new deaths reported in our immediate area. 69 percent of those who have died from COVID complications had pre-existing conditions.

Case wise, the state total now 44,285; nine new cases in story County, seven in Marshall, three in Tama, two in Jasper and one in Poweshiek.
