The rolling 14 day percentage of cases has been added to the state’s coronavirus website. Marshalltown was among the schools awaiting those numbers for continued planning for potential online learning.

Once the so-called positivity rate reaches 15 percent AND at least 10 percent of students are absent, district officials may seek state permission to send all students home and shift to online instruction only for 14 days.

As of this morning, none of our area counties was near the 15 percent positivity rate. Marshall County was closest at 11 percent. The remainder of our area counties were below 10 percent.
