Since our Saturday morning reports, 807 new cases and six new deaths due to COIVD were added to the state’s coronavirus website.

The total of confirmed cases to date now 48,919, 14 new in Story County, nine in Marshall, six in Jasper, four in Hardin, three in Tama and two in Poweshiek.

There no change in the fatality numbers in counties in our immediate area, nor any change in the long-term care facility numbers that are still battling outbreaks.

The state rate of positive cases since this whole thing began is at 9.4 percent.
