Some areas are slowing getting power restored as we begin on Wednesday.

Ames says its electric customers are about 80 percent restored and if you live in Ames and do not have power, you are asked to call 515-239-5240.

In Marshalltown, there seems to be power restored south of the Southridge/Center Street area…including some businesses where you can buy some gas.

Alliant Energy early this morning said there were still nearly 11,500 customers in the general Marshalltown area without power.
