158 new confirmed cases of COVID since midday yesterday, six in Marshall County, three in Story County and two in Jasper County. The Statewide total now 52,829.

Eight more deaths reported around the state since midday yesterday, none in our immediate area. That brings the fatality total to date to 987.

Meantime, the Associated Press is reporting there is a glitch in the state’s coronavirus website, which is not accurately reflecting actual current numbers. A state health department spokesperson says they were made away of the glitch and the department is working to correct it.
