Maybe the coronavirus website has slipped a cog,  but the new cases just in our area are not jiving with the state total. So, with that disclaimer, the website shows 17 new cases since midday yesterday in Story County, six in Tama County, five in Marshall County and three in Hardin county.

8 new deaths statewide raise that count to 1,011.

300 remain hospitalized with the rona, 89 in ICU.
