The rate for Iowans testing for COVID-19 is at 9.3 percent this morning, a one-tenth of a point dip. On the other side, 702 new cases of the rona have been added to the state’s total. 29 of those in Story County for 1,477, nine in Marshall County for 1,545 and a statewide total of 54,533.

Five more deaths, none in our area, lift that total to 1,016. 293 Iowans remain in the hospital with the virus, 81 in ICU.
