Three people are dead, one a child, after a crash involving a wrong-way driver in Hardin County.

The Iowa State Patrol says the accident on Highway 20 near the Alden/Buckeye exit also resulted in a second child being flown to a Des Moines hospital.

The driver of the wrong-way vehicle suffered minor injuries and alcohol is believed to be a factor in the accident.

The names of the folks involved have not been released.
