The last coach to lead Iowa to the final four has passed away.

Former Hawkeye and Arizona coach Lute Olson was 85.

Olson led Iowa to five straight NCCA tourneys, including the 1980 Final Four. Carver Hawkeye is known as the house Lute built.

After nine years, Olson  spend 23 seasons with the Wildcats.

Olson suffered a stroke in February 2019 and had reportedly been in hospice care.
