IOWA’S WEATHER TURNED FROM DRY TO WET THIS PAST WEEK, AND AS A RESULT, THE MARSHALLTOWN FIRE DEPARTMENT HAS ALTERED PLANS FOR BURNING TREE DEBRIS. RESIDENTS IN SECTIONS ONE AND TWO WILL BE ALLOWED TO BURN THIS COMING WEEK, SEPTEMBER 14-19. BURNING IN SECTION THREE WILL TAKE PLACE THE FOLLOWING WEEK, SEPTEMBER 21-26, AND SECTION FOUR RESIDENTS CAN BURN FROM SEPTEMBER 28-OCTOBER 1,WHEN FALL OPEN BURNING BEGINS. RESIDENTS ARE REMINDED TO LET NEIGHBORS KNOW WHEN THEY WILL BURN TREE DEBRIS.
