Nearly six weeks after the derecho and some folks continue to deal with the overwhelming task of trying to clean up. Among those locations is Riverside Cemetery in Marshalltown. Trees by the hundreds were felled by the storm. While the Cemetery has re-opened, the bill for removing the damaged trees is at $700,000. General Manager Dorrie Tammen says that only covers part of the removal costs.

A Go Fund Me account has been set up. If you’d like to help, there is a link to that page on Riverside Cemetery’s Facebook page.
